Soccer Game Preview: Westlake vs. Newbury Park

The Westlake Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Newbury Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westlake's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, neither Westlake nor Thousand Oaks could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Newbury Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They played to a draw too, finishing 0-0 against Calabasas. The result kept the Panthers happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 17th.

Westlake's draw gives them a new season record of 12-4-2. Meanwhile, Newbury Park's record is now 10-4-2.

Westlake came up short against Newbury Park in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 4-2. Can Westlake avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
