Apex Friendship's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fuquay - Varina Bengals. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Apex Friendship's got stronger as the match went on, holding Fuquay - Varina to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.

Leading Apex Friendship to victory were Shelby Fuller and Cambryn Scott. Fuller had 12 digs and seven assists, while Scott had six assists and three aces. What's more, Scott posted two digs, the most she's had since back in August. Natalie Johanning also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Apex Friendship was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fuquay - Varina only served six.

Apex Friendship's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Fuquay - Varina, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11.

Apex Friendship and Fuquay - Varina should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Patriots (ranked 152nd) will meet Willow Spring (ranked 351st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fuquay - Varina will challenge South Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (270 vs. 582).
