Softball Recap: Pine Grove Comes Up Short

Pine Grove and Wheeler squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Pine Grove had to settle for second. They fell 8-4 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-2 defeat on Wednesday.

Pine Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Childs, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Pine Grove and nudges their season record down to 15-15. As for Wheeler, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-7.

As of now, neither Pine Grove nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
