Baseball Recap: Lovington Takes a Loss

Lovington managed to slip by Portales the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Rams on Friday, falling 7-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Jayden Gutierrez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lovington's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Portales, the victory snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 4-16 record.

As of now, neither Lovington nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
