Basketball Recap: Knightstown Takes a Loss

Knightstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue River Valley Vikings. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 52-49 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Knightstown still got an impressive performance from Brant Ellis, who posted 20 points. Travis Louks was another key player, putting up three points and five assists.

Knightstown's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Blue River Valley, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knightstown will head out to face off against Anderson Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson Prep Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.8 points per game this season. Blue River Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eastern Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
