After losing to Galesburg-Augusta the last time they met, Hackett Catholic Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Fighting Irish put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 8-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Irish, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Hackett Catholic Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Galesburg-Augusta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.
