The STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans will be playing at home against the Arvada Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
STEM School Highlands Ranch's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Addenbrooke Classical Academy. STEM School Highlands Ranch has struggled against Addenbrooke Classical Academy recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, STEM School Highlands Ranch saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaden Morrison, who scored 12 points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morrison has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avi Thakkar, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
After soaring to a 22-point win in their last game, Arvada came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Jefferson by a score of 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
STEM School Highlands Ranch has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Arvada, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
STEM School Highlands Ranch beat Arvada 53-40 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Arvada's Trevor Lucero, who scored 17 points along with three blocks and two steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will STEM School Highlands Ranch still be able to contain Lucero? There's only one way to find out.
