Hondo is a perfect 8-0 against Dilley since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Owls will venture away from home to take on the Wolves at 4:30 p.m.

Hondo is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Crystal City just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Javelinas, falling 3-0.

While Hondo ultimately came up short, they really made Crystal City work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-22, 25-21.

Hondo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Araceli Fernandez, who had 18 digs and one assist, and Ava Lowe, who had ten digs and two aces.

Dilley not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Poteet. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Aggies recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, 25-13.

Hondo's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Dilley, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-15.

Everything went Hondo's way against Dilley in their previous matchup back in September, as Hondo made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Owls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
