Volleyball Recap: DSST: Conservatory Green Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact DSST: Conservatory Green can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to The Classical Academy Titans on Saturday. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-7, 25-14.

Carolina De La Torre paced DSST: Conservatory Green's offense, picking up four kills. De La Torre got some help from Mia Martin and her ten assists.

The Classical Academy was led to victory by Avery Jaeger and Bella Campbell. Jaeger had three digs and two aces, while Campbell had ten digs. Jaeger has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 17 times she's played.

DSST: Conservatory Green's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for The Classical Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, DSST: Conservatory Green and The Classical Academy will both be playing Platte Valley the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Broncos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
