Gross Catholic got themselves on the board against Plattsmouth on Friday, but Plattsmouth never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Blue Devils. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Blue Devils back in March, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Gross Catholic got a great performance from Kayo Rempe as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Rempe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gross Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Powers, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Gross Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Plattsmouth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gross Catholic will host Elkhorn North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plattsmouth, they will face off against Ralston on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
