Basketball Recap: Lake Belton Takes a Loss

Lake Belton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats.

Lake Belton now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Sulphur Springs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Lake Belton will be home for the holidays to greet Gatesville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sulphur Springs, they and Rudder will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Rudder will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sulphur Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
