Softball Recap: Cattaraugus-Little Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pine Valley Central on Friday, Cattaraugus-Little Valley came back down to earth. The Timberwolves fell 11-7 to the Falconer Golden Falcons on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 last Wednesday.

Emma West made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Elli Locicero was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Falconer, their record is now 7-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cattaraugus-Little Valley will take on Franklinville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Timberwolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Falconer, they are taking a road trip to take on Randolph at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
