Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Squires vs. Rochester Zebras

The Manchester Squires will challenge the Rochester Zebras at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Manchester took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against North Miami by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38.

Meanwhile, Rochester sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-32 victory over Lewis Cass on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Zebras.

Rochester's win came from a few key players Manchester will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rylee Clevenger, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Mccarter, who put up 12 points.

Rochester is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Manchester, they pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Manchester was able to grind out a solid victory over Rochester when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 55-47. Does Manchester have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rochester turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
