Baseball Recap: Strasburg-Franklin Comes Up Short

Strasburg-Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Claymont Mustangs. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Strasburg-Franklin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Baughmam, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Logan Yoder also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Strasburg-Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Claymont, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

While Strasburg-Franklin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
