Baseball Recap: Middle Tennessee Monarchs Gets the Win

Middle Tennessee Monarchs took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Marion County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Middle Tennessee Monarchs came out on top in a nail-biter against Marion County on Saturday, sneaking past 10-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Middle Tennessee Monarchs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Wyatt Harrison was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Bishop Vines was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Middle Tennessee Monarchs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Middle Tennessee Monarchs' win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Marion County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Middle Tennessee Monarchs will challenge Park Tudor at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marion County, they will face off against Tyner Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
