Basketball Recap: Hancock Takes a Loss

Hancock lost against Dollar Bay back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost to the Bays at home by a 41-26 margin.

Despite the defeat, Hancock saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gage Chynoweth posted ten points.

Dollar Bay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Baron Colbert, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Jaehnig, who went 6-for-9 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dollar Bay, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hancock will head out to square off against Baraga at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Dollar Bay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-32 win against Calumet on the 8th.
