Basketball Recap: Oxford's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Oxford lost to Troy back in January of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Oxford Wildcats took down the Troy Colts 49-32. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Oxford's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Troy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Oxford and Troy's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Oxford and St. Mary's Prep (who has only given up 29 points per game) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Meanwhile, Troy will square off against Adams at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025, a squad that's only allowed 28 points per game.
