Hempstead had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Jefferson J-Hawks get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That's the first time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 12-1 victory on Tuesday.

Hempstead's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Jefferson, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Coming up, Jefferson will take on Kennedy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hempstead will be paying especially close attention to the J-Hawks' matchup: after the J-Hawks face off against Linn-Mar, they'll take on Hempstead again.
