Football Recap: Perry Meridian Comes Up Short at Home Against Franklin Central

Perry Meridian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Franklin Central Flashes and fell 48-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Flashes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Jackson Schoch threw for 32 yards on seven of 19 attempts. On the ground, Tristan Ling rushed for 38 yards.

Connor Moreland was nothing short of spectacular for Franklin Central: he threw for 249 yards and six TDs while completing 75% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Markell Bailey, who picked up 78 receiving yards and three scores.

Coming up, Perry Meridian is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Southport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roncalli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
