Volleyball Recap: North Kingstown Skippers vs. Portsmouth Patriots

North Kingstown extended their postseason success on Saturday against Portsmouth. They won by a set and slipped past the Portsmouth Patriots 3-2. The Skippers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

North Kingstown was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-7.

Tessa Lafrenier paced North Kingstown's offense, picking up 33 kills. Lafrenier got some help from Sydney Henson and her 46 assists. Ava Sardelli controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Portsmouth still got an impressive performance from Mila Abedon, who had 17 digs and two aces. Abedon has been hot , having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

North Kingstown's record now sits at 20-0. As for Portsmouth, they moved to 18-2 with that loss, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.

As of now, neither North Kingstown nor Portsmouth have any future games scheduled.
