Basketball Recap: Cape Hatteras Takes a Loss

Cape Hatteras was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 56-41 bruising from the Hertford County Bears.

Hertford County can attribute much of their success to Josiah Powell, who posted 14 points. Rucker Nixon was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cape Hatteras' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hertford County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Hatteras will host Croatan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hertford County, they will welcome Gates County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
