West Morgan strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 59-7 victory over the Danville Hawks. Considering the Rebels have won five contests by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Morgan was led to victory by MacArri Johnson and Asher Fletcher. Johnson rushed for 143 yards and two TDs on only nine carries, while Fletcher rushed for 91 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. Johnson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Tayshaun McDaniel also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Morgan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 378 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 270 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

West Morgan's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Danville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Coming up, West Morgan will square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Danville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hatton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
