Boswell waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Newman Smith Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pioneers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2021.

Boswell pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Newman Smith, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19-2 record this season.

Boswell will host Lake Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Newman Smith does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
