Softball Recap: Ingomar Falcons vs. Calhoun City Wildcats        
        
		
            
 Ingomar was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell victim to a  tough 11-1 defeat at the hands of the Calhoun City Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ingomar of the  12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Monday.
 For Calhoun City's part,  Aimee Buckley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Buckley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Buckley was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brentley Parker, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.  Olivia Vance was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Ingomar's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Calhoun City, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ingomar will  square off against Palmer at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Calhoun City, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Vardaman at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Calhoun City is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.4  runs per game this season.
