Basketball Recap: Chapel Hill Panthers vs. Midtown Knights
The Chapel Hill Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Midtown on the road and fell 79-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chapel Hill in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost nine in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Chapel Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Emahni Chambliss. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points along with three steals. That was a full 51.2% of Chapel Hill's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
It was another big night for Devin Bockman, who scored 31 points along with three steals for Midtown. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bockman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sinclair Richman, who scored 20 points along with two blocks.
Chapel Hill dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Midtown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.
