Football Recap: Chestnut Ridge Finds Playoff Glory Versus Tussey Mountain + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Chestnut Ridge walked away with it. They walked away with a 22-10 victory over the Tussey Mountain Titans on Friday.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jayden Imler and Cooper Barefoot. Imler rushed for 106 yards and two scores while Barefoot rushed for 50 yards and one TD. Imler has become a key player for Chestnut Ridge: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-5 otherwise.

Chestnut Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Chestnut Ridge's defense made their presence known, laying out Owen Miller three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Caden Hinson, Barefoot, and Cade Emerick, who each picked up one sack apiece. Hinson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 11 total tackles.

Chestnut Ridge's record now sits at 5-6. As for Tussey Mountain, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Chestnut Ridge has already played their next game, a 13-0 win against Berlin Brothersvalley on the 7th. Tussey Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
