Baseball Game Preview: Joaquin Rams vs. San Augustine Wolves

The Joaquin Rams will venture away from home to face off against the San Augustine Wolves at 6:05 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Joaquin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Joaquin's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Timpson hitters got past them. Joaquin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 win over Timpson on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their two-run performance the game before.

Duncan McCann was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted over his last ten contests. Another player making a difference was Kaden Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, San Augustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to Chireno. One positive for the Wolves, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

San Augustine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Joaquin, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
