Football Recap: Soledad Comes Up Short on the Road Against Carmel

Soledad had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 33-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carmel Padres. While losing is never fun, the Aztecs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Padres are ranked 286th).

Looking ahead, Soledad is taking a road trip to face off against North Salinas at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Carmel, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Soquel at 2:00 p.m. on September 13.
