Softball Recap: Howe Bulldogs vs. Blue Ridge Tigers
Howe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 35-31 to the Blue Ridge Tigers. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Howe got a massive performance out of Deyse Garcia, who got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those runs marked the first that Garcia has scored this season. Katelin Patterson was another key player, getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances with five runs, two triples, and five RBI.
Howe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Blue Ridge, they moved to 3-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
