Basketball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against Winters Mill

Liberty lost to Winters Mill back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. Everything went the Liberty Lions' way against the Winters Mill Falcons as the Liberty Lions made off with a 70-47 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brett Kuhlmann, who posted nine points. Tate Steckel was another key player, putting up eight points.

Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Winters Mill, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-56 defeat against Westminster on the 21st. Winters Mill has also already played their next matchup, a 65-62 win against Manchester Valley on the 21st.
