The Akron Rams will take on the Caliche Buffaloes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Caliche took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Akron, who comes in off a win.

The Rams were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Jakzon Livesay made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Akron got a massive performance out of Jax Kusel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Clay Axtell was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Caliche didn't have quite enough to beat Highland on Wednesday and fell 5-4.
Ammen Adolf and Mason Hernandez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Adolf got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Hernandez went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Akron got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Caliche by a conclusive 14-1 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
