Vanden had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point drubbing they dealt Vacaville on Wednesday. The Vanden Vikings breezed by the Vacaville Bulldogs to the tune of 76-49. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Vanden's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chriseanie Nealy, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points along with six assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of James Carraway, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and four steals.

Vanden smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Vanden has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Vacaville, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Vanden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-35 win against Wood on the 10th. As for Vacaville, they will square off against Rodriguez at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th. Rodriguez will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Vacaville surely won't give up without a fight.
