Softball Recap: Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs vs. McConnellsburg Spartans

Claysburg-Kimmel put the finishing touches on their 14th blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against the McConnellsburg Spartans as the Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs made off with a 12-2 win. Winning may never get old, but Claysburg-Kimmel sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Launa Musselman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Jenna Helsel was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Savanna Crissman, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Claysburg-Kimmel's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. As for McConnellsburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
