Softball Recap: Lakeside Sets Scoring Season-High Against Santa Rosa Academy

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 16-12 to the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers. One positive for the Lancers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Leila Bahrami was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Reese Fisher also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Even though they lost, Lakeside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Santa Rosa Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lakeside will challenge Murrieta Valley at 3:15 p.m. on March 4th. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they will square off against Linfield Christian at 3:00 p.m. on March 3rd.
