Softball Recap: Rancho Verde's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rancho Verde waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Moreno Valley Vikings 12-1. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Isabelle Sena spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Liah Navarro, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Serenity Menendez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Rancho Verde was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .513. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rancho Verde's record now sits at 9-3. As for Moreno Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
