Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Denbigh's Third in Last Four Outings

Denbigh hadn't done well against Warwick recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Patriots walked away with a 9-5 win over the Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Trevor Foote, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Hayden Radican was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Denbigh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Denbigh has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Warwick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denbigh will challenge Warhill at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Warwick, they will face off against Woodside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
