Volleyball Recap: Roy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Roy posted their closest win since August 16th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Grantsville Cowboys. The win was some much needed relief for the Royals as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Despite the defeat, Grantsville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luiza Lupiao had 23 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Lupiao.

Roy's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Grantsville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.

Roy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Wasatch on the 11th. As for Grantsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Skyline on the 11th.
