Basketball Recap: Algonquin Regional's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Algonquin Regional came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Hudson Hawks with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Algonquin Regional pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Hudson, they moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Algonquin Regional will venture away from home to take on Leominster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leominster knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Algonquin Regional likes a good challenge. As for Hudson, they will head out to face off against Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Hudson surely won't give up without a fight.
