Softball Recap: Perrin-Whitt Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Perrin-Whitt can now relate to. They fell just short of the Munday Moguls by a score of 9-7 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Moguls: they've now lost three in a row.

Alyssa Murray made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. McKieran Murphy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

Perrin-Whitt's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Munday, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

While Perrin-Whitt had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
