Softball Recap: The Academy of the Holy Cross Takes a Loss

The Academy of the Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Paul VI Panthers, falling 22-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 last Wednesday.

The Academy of the Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Paul VI, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. The Academy of the Holy Cross will square off against rival Bishop Ireton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Paul VI is set to take on their familiar foe St. Mary's Ryken at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
