Oneonta came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hokes Bluff Eagles on Wednesday, sneaking past 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Redskins: when they faced off against the Eagles on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Blake Teal made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Teal was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Butts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Oneonta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Oneonta's victory bumped their record up to 15-8-1. As for Hokes Bluff, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-9.
