Softball Game Preview: George Rogers Clark Cardinals vs. Fleming County Panthers

The George Rogers Clark Cardinals will take on the Fleming County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fleming County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on George Rogers Clark, who comes in off a win.

George Rogers Clark took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Boyle County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rebels 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cardinals have posted since April 26th.

Meanwhile, Fleming County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Rowan County, falling 12-1.

Ariana Adams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

George Rogers Clark's victory bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Fleming County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
