Baseball Recap: Washington Township Comes Up Short

Washington Township lost against Griffith back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Senators fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3. The Senators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington Township saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Schott, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Washington Township's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Griffith, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Washington Township will head out to take on Chesterton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Senators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Griffith, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calumet Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
