Softball Recap: Providence Catholic Takes a Loss

Providence Catholic came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Joseph Flyers, falling 15-1. The Provets haven't had much luck with the Flyers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Providence Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for St. Joseph, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Providence Catholic will take on rival St. Anthony at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph is set to square off against their familiar foe Saint Mary's Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (St. Joseph 1.8, Saint Mary's Hall 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
