Baseball Recap: O'Bryant Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for O'Bryant's offense. They came up short against the Charlestown Townies on Wednesday, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

O'Bryant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edward Santana, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Santana has hit this season.

O'Bryant has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Charlestown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. O'Bryant will face off against Boston Latin Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Charlestown, they will square off against Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
