Basketball Recap: Mogollon Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Mogollon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Mayer Wildcats 49-35 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-33 back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mogollon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quinn Tenney, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave Tenney a new career-high. Stetson Owens was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory snapped Mogollon's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-8 record. As for Mayer, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Mogollon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-58 loss against Fort Thomas on the 10th. Mayer has also already played their next game (against Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
