Basketball Recap: San Angelo Central Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact San Angelo Central can now relate to. They fell to the Eastwood Troopers 57-51. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 48-46 to them when the teams met back in February of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Devin Falk-Ramirez, who went 13-for-18 to rack up 36 points and five boards for Eastwood. The match was Falk-Ramirez's third in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Edward Avila, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

San Angelo Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 24-11 record this season. As for Eastwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.

San Angelo Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastwood, they will take on Crowley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crowley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
