Oak Creek waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 47-42 W against the Racine Park Panthers. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Panthers are ranked 218th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Racine Park lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Leylanna Cruz, who posted 15 points. Racine Park is 3-1 when Cruz posts 15 or more points, but 7-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Addison Betker, who earned five points in addition to 13 boards and six assists.

Oak Creek's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Racine Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Coming up, Oak Creek will square off against Racine Case at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Racine Case knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Oak Creek likes a good challenge. As for Racine Park, they will face off against Kenosha Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Racine Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season.
