Basketball Recap: Jeremiah Nelson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Potts Camp over Myrtle + How To Watch

Potts Camp was the 99-63 winner over Myrtle when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell 59-52 to the Hawks on Tuesday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Potts Camp's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Nelson, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Tyler McNeil was another key player, going 7-for-15 to rack up 16 points and five boards.

Potts Camp's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Myrtle, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Potts Camp will square off against Mantachie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.3 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Myrtle, they will face off against Hickory Flat at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
