Softball Recap: Mountain Ridge Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

On Monday, everything went the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions's way against the Casteel Colts as the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions made off with a 7-1 victory. Considering the Mountain Lions have won five games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lexi Faller was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had over her last ten matchups. Another player making a difference was Taylor Dunagan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Mountain Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Casteel's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Mountain Ridge will take on Queen Creek in a tournament on Thursday. As for Casteel, they will head out on the road to take on Horizon at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
